What farms ask for most
Tractors, GPS units and diesel are stolen from farmyards at night, and intruders in stables put animals at risk and bring disease in. Hay and straw stores, workshops and biogas plants are fire risks. Most farms have a few cameras, but nobody watches them at 3 am, and the motion alarm goes off every time a cat crosses the yard.
Use cases on the farm
- Yard and sheds at night: people and vehicles in the yard, at the machine shed, the diesel tank and the stables after hours.
- Fire and smoke early warning: hay and straw stores, workshops and the area around a biogas plant, on top of your existing fire protection.
- Farm entrance: vehicles in and out with times, for example during the harvest or at night.
- Search: find the moment when a gate was left open or a vehicle drove in, in plain language.
People and vehicles, not cattle
ProDataAI Lens tells people and vehicles apart from animals, so a dog or a fox in the yard does not raise an intrusion alert.
If you want, it alerts separately on wild animals such as wolves or wild boar near pens, paddocks and enclosures at night, on thermal cameras also in full darkness.
It is set up for security, fire and these wildlife alerts. Monitoring animal health and behaviour is a different task that needs specialised systems.
Farms with a weak connection
Where the connection is weak, a GPU server on the farm can handle detection locally, so alerts still work; search and reports then run in the cloud. See cloud, hybrid or on premises.
Frequently asked questions
Do the alerts come to my phone?
Yes. Alerts go by email, text message or messenger to the people you name, with a snapshot and a short clip.
Does it work in the dark?
It works with what your cameras see. Cameras with infrared or good low-light performance work at night, and thermal cameras work in full darkness. In the pilot we check your cameras at the hours that matter.
Can ProDataAI Lens detect sick animals?
No. ProDataAI Lens is set up for security and fire. Animal health monitoring needs specialised systems.
