What facility and security teams ask for

Corporate sites need to know who gets past a secured door, whether the building is empty when it should be, what was left in the foyer and the escape routes, and how much of the office is actually used since hybrid work. Employees are on camera every day, so all of it has to work without watching how anyone works.

Use cases in offices

Security for the building, not monitoring of staff

Privacy zones on the camera or recorder exclude desks, private offices and break areas. ProDataAI Lens does not recognise faces, does not identify people, does not track attendance and keeps no figures per employee. Space use is measured as anonymous counts per area. Before go-live, agree purposes, areas, recipients and retention with your works council (in Germany under section 87 BetrVG) and your data protection officer. In the UK, the ICO's guidance on monitoring workers asks for the same: necessary, proportionate and transparent.

See GDPR, works council and the EU AI Act and the DPIA and works agreement checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be used to check attendance or working time?

No. ProDataAI Lens does not identify people and keeps no figures per employee, so it cannot and should not be used for attendance or performance.

Are desks and private offices excluded?

Yes. Privacy zones mask workstations, private offices and break areas, so they are not analysed at all.

Can we measure how much our office space is used?

Yes, as anonymous counts and heatmaps per area and time of day, for example to plan desks, meeting rooms or cleaning.
