Why danger zones are hard to keep clear
Marked floors and signs are ignored when people are in a hurry, and the same shortcut is taken every day until something happens. Health and safety managers know the spots but cannot stand next to them, and the cameras that already cover the hall or the yard are only looked at after an accident.
What ProDataAI Lens detects
- People in a zone you draw around a machine, a crane area, a press or a robot cell.
- Pedestrians in forklift lanes and vehicle-only areas of the yard.
- Vehicles in walkways and pedestrian areas.
- Zones by time, for example a loading area that is only dangerous while it is in use, or a zone that may not be entered during the night shift.
Each zone has its own severity and recipients. Combined with safety gear detection, you can also be told when someone enters a marked area without a helmet or high-visibility vest.
An extra warning on top of your safety measures
ProDataAI Lens warns people who can act, such as the shift lead or the safety officer. It does not stop a machine and is not a safety device in the sense of machine safety: light curtains, safety scanners, guards and collision warning on the vehicle stay as they are. Reaction times depend on the network and the alert channel.
From single alerts to fewer risky spots
Reports show where and when zones are entered most often. Safety teams use them to move a walkway, add a barrier or change a work routine. The reports count events per zone and time and do not score individual employees, which matters for the works council.
Frequently asked questions
Can ProDataAI Lens stop a forklift or a machine?
No. It sends an alert to people. Stopping machines is the job of certified safety technology on the machine or vehicle.
Do we need the works council?
Yes, in Germany cameras that see employees need its agreement (§ 87 BetrVG). ProDataAI Lens reports events per zone and does not identify people or score their performance, which makes agreement easier.
Does it work outdoors, for example in a quarry or on a construction site?
Yes, where the cameras see the zone clearly. In the pilot we check dust, weather and light at the hours that matter.
